Zhejiang Haimao Law Firm, formerly the Taizhou Foreign Economic Law Firm, was established in 1988. In 2000, with the approval of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Justice and the Taizhou Municipal People's Government, it was restructured into a partnership law firm. It now has 64 full-time lawyers and is one of the most reputable and capable full-service legal institutions in Taizhou. In 2011, the firm was designated by the Zhejiang Provincial High People's Court as a law firm qualified to act as a bankruptcy administrator. In October 2013, it established a branch office in Hangzhou. The firm has nearly ten practice departments, including the International Legal Affairs Department, Corporate Legal Affairs Department, Financial Legal Affairs Department, Construction and Real Estate Legal Affairs Department, Investment and Trade Legal Affairs Department, and Intellectual Property Legal Affairs Department.
